welp been a while since I wrote here, FYI you are more likely to hear my rambles over on my tumblr --> klfoxglove.tumblr.com

But this ramble is specific to here so to here it comes.

If you watched me for my pokemon comic, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Sam's Rescue Team, you'd have realised that I haven't updated it in a LONG while. I previously said it was because I was redrawing the first chapter in preperation for moving it from Drunkduck to another comic site, which is SmackJeeves though I haven't created an account over there yet.

I was reading over the chapters I've drawn already and read the notes for the remainder of the story and I came to realise, I actually hate what I've written quite a bit. I enjoy the basic story of it, well, mostly because it's based off a game I thouroughly enjoy, but I hate the way I adapted it.

So this is what I'm going to do.

I'm going to completely rewrite the whole thing, and then redraw it from scratch. I'm probably going to end up removing the pages I've already done from DA and begin uploading again, or maybe I'll just move them to scraps, I don't know at this point. They are definately going to end up on SmackJeeves, once I create an account. I will let you know when I do so!

The restart won't happen for a while. A lot has happened in the meantime and I am quite a bit busier now than I was then. Did I mention I have another pokemon comic? It's on Gaia, and that happens to be a whole lot more involved. That, alongside University, has been a big priority of mine for a long while.

So, now that I have that out of my system, time to get Uni work done before my deadline next friday. [SEND HELP]

If anyone read my previous journal, you'd know my house needs renovation on account of it having been flooded.

We have secured a rented house for us to stay for about six months, and moving day is Monday.

This house is huge, it has about five bedrooms and the garden alone is three times the size of our own. Rent costs a ton, so I'm glad the insurance has taken care of that for us.

Anyway, University.

I can't remember if I mentioned this, but due to poor results I am repeating my second year part time. I am not at all bothered by this, my work last year was complete shit anyway.

I feel on top of everything now, and I'm actually carefull to pay attention to Tutorials in class this time so that I know how half the programs we use work. (NUKE, I'm looking at youuuuuu)

My Uni is under new management, and I guess it shows? The work we're given this year is the same I got last year, but changed slightly. The work I have to do sounds FUN, believe it or not. I might actually enjoy animating this year. My SCP (student centred project - a two minute film) contains a rabbit, and the model I've made for it looks quite good! oWo

Welp. Gonna go play Professor Layton and the Specter's Call some more, and stare at the mountain of boxes in my room and resist the urge to keep them when I'm done with them.

My house flooded.

What happened was, the water tank in my attic burst when a massive water surge took place. Our house wasn't the only one affected, but it was the worst hit. The water dripped through the ceiling onto the hallway and into the boiler room (right next to my room) and through the floor into the living room and part of the dining room and downstairs toilet. The water tank is directly above the boiler room, so part of my ceiling is stained from the water, though only my carpet was affected.

Because my computer is on the side of the room where the carpet got wet, my dad told me not to use it for the time bieng since, even though it wasn't on the ground, the cables connecting it to the mains were.

Damage report;

- the carpets in the main bathroom, my room, ~LeroPon's room and the hallway need to be replaced. The bathroom and hallway were so wet the carpets were removed immedeately for safety reasons.
- The light in my living room was removed for safety reasons. (Water was dripping through it).
- The floorboards in my living room need to be replaced; there was at least four inches of water covering it.
- The boiler needs to be replaced.
- As does a lot of the ceiling downstairs.
- Some other things I may be forgetting.

I've also been informed that we can't live in our house when the ceilings get replaced. My dad's looking to rent a place nearby so that I can keep using my pc (for uni-related reasons, I'm due to start back soon). We'd probably be spending christmas in a rented house.

All this happened while I was home alone, btw, with no credit on my phone, not knowing the number of my mother's workplace and with my mother and sister not answering their phones when I used the housephone. I was quite panicked, as you can imagine, with water dripping everywhere. (Oh, this happened Monday, btw. It all kicked off at 9 30 AM, shortly after I woke up. Yeah, what a wonderfull thing to wake up to!)

In other news I have to repeat part of my second year of Uni, since my grades were not up to scratch. Oh well, better than outright failing, yeah?

(Oh, the title? My house is called "Chaos". No, really!)

Okay.

I'll talk about it in order.

Day 1;

Woke up at 7 am to make sanniches and get ready, left the house by 8 30am. (ish?) At the first services we stopped at, we opened the sandwich boxes and had some. Then a wasp decided to fly into the car.

Straight to me.

Needless to say I was out of there quicker than I'd ever left a car before and broke down in tears because of how close the wasp came to me.

Anyway.

We arrived at our hotel, checked in and dumped our stuff into our rooms. ~LeroPon and I got a room to ourselves, btw. We then went out to explore the general area. Nothing really worthwhile happened except Caz spent most of her money already on makeup and we had a Pizza Hut.

That night Caz decided the hotel room was creepy and disturbing and had a rough night's sleep.

Day 2;

Woke up, got dressed, went downstairs into the lobby shoeless and had cornflakes.

Hid all my valuables in Dad's suitcase 'cause it had a lock and because I'm paranoid as fuck.

At 9 30 am we bought a day train ticket (each) and entered the London Underground.

It was the first time I've ever been on a train like that. I've been on the eurotunnel, but it's not like catching a train with seats on it. We caught about four or five different trains to get into the area of London we wanted to reach (making me realise just how comples the underground is) after which we came back above ground and entered the Natural History Museum.

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but that was only because I didn't know how much memory my camera had. (I only had one memory card with me). I used my phone to record videos (That may or may not go on youtube, I don't know yet). I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed myself there, let's just say I liked to linger at areas longer than nessessary.

We then walked around London. A lot. I'm having trouble remembering everywhere we went, but I do remember Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, and Harrods. (Ugh, I hate Harrods. Made me feel like I was walking among snobs). Walked through various market stalls (Like I love to do anyway, they offer so much obscure stuff <3) and bought myself a shirt~. We stopped at a pub for an hour to rest and eat BBQ chicken wings. (Which made me feel somewhat sick, BBQ flavoured things don't agree with me, apparently). We went walking around some more and came across a Waterstones store.

I don't know if you know what Waterstones is, it's basically a bookstore. There's one in the City near me, and it has a small Manga section. this Waterstones?

Five times the size of the one I'm used to. Five floors alltogether. Their manga section?

Three. Times. </b> The size of the one I'm used to. I could have fainted. I kid you not. Anyway, bought three manga, one for me, one for Caz, and one for both of us (Hetalia).

We went back to the hotel after that, and Caz, Dylan (~iRhyme ) and I chilled in my Caz's room while my parents went to the pub next door for a drink. After that, we eat at Nando's. (Once again, the food did not agree with me.)

Caz's dislike of sleeping in the hotel room resulted in her waking up and turning the tv on at 11 pm, waking me up. She went back to sleep just fine. I could not go to sleep for another three hours. Thanks, Caz.

Day 3;

Woke up early, eat Sausages, packed our shit and left the hotel room for home. We stopped at Bath on the way back and walked around the shops for an hour or two, then we went back into the car and drove home.

My iPod ran out of batteries halfway through the journey back, making me fall asleep in the car. (and making me seel stiff when I woke up).

And that's it. We never went to Longleat like planned, but it doesn't matter. We also didn't go to half the places my dad had listed in London, either, but my mother has expressed interest in going back again to see the Christmas Lights, so there's that.

Now, I'm going to catch up with my youtube subscriptions and finish up my Uni work.

And eat some curry later. Mmmmm~

I thought I'd point you all to my sketchblog again, this time because I've posted screenies of the work I'm currently doing for University before I start my third year.

I think the fact that I enjoyed the concept stage more than the animation a telling sign of something.

Anyway, other stuff, since I may as well make this post worthwhile.

I'm going to London next tuesday, it'll be my first time there. ;3 Dad's promised we'd go to the National History Museum and anywhere else in London we want to go to, since we'll be there the whole day. I'll be gone for three days, tops, 'cause London's a long way from where I live here in Wales. (I live SO far down the south... I'm 30 minutes drive from the beach. ) My mother's said that if the time and funds allow it, we'll go to Longleat again. 'Cause MEERKATS. (They let you walk in the enclosure... the meerkats climb over visitors feet! TT U TT ).

And I think I may move SRT from DrunkDuck to Smackjeeves. I'll get the Ch1 redraw done first before I do anything. That'll probably happen late September/early October, but don't get your hopes up! xD

People who've followed me here from Gaia: The updates getting done. I think I've mentioned this before, but my attention span is terrible. xD I have to constantly work on something new else I get bored. If I get bored, things turn shit. (Case in point; my Uni work)

On a completely unrelated news; I still get ID'd for 15/16 rated things. (Films, lottery, ect.). One shopkeeper told me it's cause I look under 25. I'm pretty sure I still look at least 16, since the last time I had to buy a bus ticket I got charged for a child one. (16 and under). My mother tells me this is a good thing, but it's irritating as fuck.

It probably doesn't help that I'm the shortest in my family. Caz and Dylan are both an inch or two taller me (Caz is 18. 19 this year. Dylan is 15 in September). TT^TT whyyyyyy

I'm getting a little annoyed with Drunk Duck. I'm thinking of uploading Sam's Rescue Team to another place. (I'll still be uploading here, too). Any suggestions?

I know, DD is migrating websites or something, but I find myself unable to log in. Some of the SRT pages on DD are also not showing up. And I've never liked Drunk Duck anyway.

So yeah. Point me towards any comic hosting site.

Also, when I do move the comic from DD to elseplace, I'll be redrawing the first chapter. (Just that one). I'll upload those pages here, too. Pfft. It'll be funny to see how dramatically different my art is now to when I first drew it in 2007.

I'll get on it when I have the time, but don't expect updates until at least June or something.
